We are the Florida Keys Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (also known as Florida Keys SHRM, or, simply, FLKSHRM).  We are an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a national, professional organization.

Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources.   We welcome your use of this site as a resource and encourage you to check back frequently for updated information. The 2025 Florida Keys SHRM Judy Hobbs Memorial Scholarship was recently awarded to Key West High School student Monica Bueno.

Scholarship Chair Julio J. Torrado presented Ms. Bueno with a $1,000 scholarship during Class Night on Wednesday, May 28. She will be attending the University of Miami in the fall and pursing a degree in business, on a pre-law track.

 The Judy Hobbs Memorial Scholarship assists students pursuing a college degree in the Human Resources or Business fields. Ms. Hobbs was a local entrepreneur and founding member of our organization who, during her lifetime, was dedicated to the career success of young people who wanted to excel in business. In 1989 Ms. Hobbs passed away and her mother donated funds to create a scholarship in her honor, to be awarded annually by the Monroe County Personnel Association (MCPA), now known as the Florida Keys Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (FLKSHRM).
