In an era defined by change, burnout, and shifting expectations, organizations are discovering that performance alone does not sustain people, or results. Excellence in Action reframes leadership as a human-centered discipline that balances accountability with care, systems with empathy, and results with responsibility.
This live presentation invites HR and business leaders to examine why top performers often struggle in chaotic or systemless environments- and what leadership must do differently to support them. Through storytelling, leadership frameworks, and real-world application, participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how excellence is cultivated, not commanded.
This session explores practical, evidence-informed leadership strategies designed to help organizations identify, coach, and retain top performers. Drawing from real-world leadership experience and human capital best practices, participants will examine how leadership behaviors, systems, and workplace culture directly influence engagement, performance, and retention outcomes.
Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Recognize the Hidden Drivers Behind Top Performance
Identify the personal, environmental, and leadership factors that shape high performers- and understand why neglecting these drivers leads to disengagement and attrition.
2. Equip Leaders to Coach, Not Just Manage
Differentiate between management and coaching, and apply leadership behaviors that develop capability, ownership, and long-term performance rather than short-term compliance.
3. Design Systems That Protect and Multiply Excellence
Assess how organizational systems either nourish or deplete top talent, and learn how to create leadership rhythms, expectations, and cultures that sustain excellence over time.
